Biography
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Joan Gonzalez comes from a proud lineage of military service members, a background that shaped her sense of duty and commitment to serving others.
She earned her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University and completed her family medicine residency at Temple University, Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where she treated a diverse patient population and built broad experience in comprehensive care.
After residency, Dr. Gonzalez served in the United States Navy as a Senior Medical Officer and primary care provider, overseeing the healthcare needs of 5,000 active-duty service members and their families.
At Anna Health Family Medicine, she brings that leadership, compassion, and clinical range into preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and collaborative long-term care.
